Pop-Up Prom Shop
Mothers Trust would appreciate any assistance B.E.S.T. can provide in getting out the word to the community stakeholders about an event we have coming up.
Mothers Trust, Zengeler Cleaners and the College of Lake County are partnering to hold the 1st Mothers Trust Pop-Up Prom Shoppe. We have access to thousands of dresses and limited number of shoes and accessories. This event is open to ANY Lake County High School student with a valid school ID. This is a “green initiative” (Upscale Re-Sale vs. landfill) and is not need based. There is no cost for the event or dresses received. College of Lake County will also offer VIP tours for those interested. Mothers Trust will provide assistance to students who are not able to afford Prom Tickets or other cost associated with their prom event. If anyone has any questions or would like to donate time or dresses and accessories, please have them contact the Mothers Trust office directly at email@example.com , or they can call (847) 482-9189 and speak with Marly Subido or myself.
My Free Taxes
Tax season is here and United Way is excited to celebrate the 4th anniversary offering the My Free Taxes Program to Lake County residents.
My Free Taxes is an online tax preparation service that is free, safe, and easy to use. Sponsored by United Way and H&R Block, MyFreeTaxes has all of the features you’re looking for to file your federal and state returns — with none of the fees. Taxpayers can save an average of $200 in fees by using My Free Taxes.
This program is open to any individuals and households earning $66,000 or less in calendar year 2018. Seventy percent of American tax filers are eligible for free tax filing. In 2018, 287 tax filers in Lake County prepared their taxes for free with My Free Taxes. Thousands of families are eligible for this program in Lake County. We hope you will help us spread the word about this wonderful program. United Way will be releasing more information this month to help you share information about My Free Taxes to your staff, clients, and community.
United Way promotes MyFreeTaxes to help support the health, education, and financial stability of every person in every community, and maximizing your tax refund is a key step towards that goal.
We are so pleased to introduce the RLA Community Calendar!!!
This calendar will highlight all the community events that are happening in the Round Lake Area.
Here is a link to that calendar you can use to submit your own events or view events going on throughout our community.
